Paragon Partition Manager 15 Professional

Purpose

Partition creation, resize, migration and storage-layout maintenance

Decision Summary

Legacy product documentation and lifecycle/security status completed. Classified Retired for CSI: preserve as inventory reference, but prefer a current supported partition manager. No testing planned unless a licensed patched build is required.

Field Notes

Official HDM 15 Professional manual is from the 2015 generation. Paragon's legacy policy and 2025 Biontdrv.sys patch notice make an unpatched version 15 unsuitable for normal CSI deployment. Keep original licence evidence and installer hash only for archival recovery needs.

Hardware Requirements

Windows x64 technician workstation; external USB/SSD and destination storage as applicable. Exact minimum requirements not yet verified.

Backup Strategy

Before use, record disk layout, export relevant configuration and create/verify an appropriate backup or forensic image.

Recovery Strategy

Restore partition table or full-disk image from verified pre-change backup.

Secure Boot Notes

Legacy WinPE/recovery-media behavior is version-specific. Paragon published a 2025 security patch notice covering Partition Manager 15–17 due to a vulnerable driver; unpatched media/software must not be used.
